Who We Are
Dr. Rajvinder Kaur Chahal (Ed.D.) combines 20 years of leadership and clinical experience in Child Psychiatry with 21 years of university teaching experience. In addition, as a social worker, Raj has worked in the roles of Mental Health and Addiction Clinician, Family counsellor, Addiction counsellor, Indigenous Child Welfare social worker, Adoption, and Child and Family Services social worker. Her expertise spans mental health and addiction clinical services, cultural safety training, anti-racism training, and educational and mental health program development. As a recognized expert in creating culturally-safe spaces and implementing effective mental health programs, Dr. Chahal regularly consults with organizations on developing inclusive and effective service delivery models. Raj has a passion for anti-racism and mental health services and has spent years training clinicians and learning from leading mental health experts. As a second-generation racialized immigrant woman, Raj has a passion for crafting safe, anti-racist spaces for professionals and clients.

Dr. Jonathan Pfeiffer, Ed.D., is a distinguished scholar-practitioner specializing in adolescent development, mental health, and resilience. His doctoral research at the University of Toronto's Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) advanced understanding of youth identity development during periods of disruption, while his extensive clinical experience demonstrates expertise in developing culturally responsive interventions that bridge Western and Indigenous approaches to healing. As a sessional instructor at Thompson Rivers University teaching counseling and special education, Dr. Pfeiffer combines his academic expertise with extensive clinical experience, emphasizing evidence-based and culturally informed approaches. Drawing from personal experience as a former ward of the court who overcame significant challenges, he brings unique insight and authenticity to his work, enabling him to develop innovative approaches to youth resilience and mental health intervention that empower young people to overcome adversity and achieve their full potential.
